Singles League 22/23

Round 1 ( 6 weeks, starting 10.10.22 )

There are 66 players entered in this round
Players are grouped roughly with players of similar ability
Most groups have 4 players, some have 5
In a group of 4, you play each other twice. In a group of 5, just once.
At the end of Round 1, highest player in a group moves up a Group, lowest player moves down
Round 2 will start with groups reset.
Round 2 will likely be a 3 week run, with games to 21, to prepare for the competition season.

Round 1 Rules:
2 games to 15, and a decider to 11, if needed
Match winner gets 4 points
Match loser can get a bonus point for every game with a score of 11 or more
Dark blue ball is used for matches involving ladies
Timeouts - 2 x 30s in 15pt games, 1 x 30s in 11pt games.

Round 1 Fixtures:
We are trialling a court booking App this season, under the guidance of Charlie Shanks
Listed fixtures are to be arranged by the players involved using the Booking App - Skedda
A link to the App will be sent to each group coordinator, and that can be distributed to each player
You should try to play in the week scheduled, e.g. Week Commencing Mon 10th Oct for 1st game
You must have all fixtures played in the 6 week time slot


Venues:
The league venues are Gortnamona , St Pauls and Rossa, and available times will be shown on the App
Other venues can be used if arranged by players themselves, e.g. Ardoyne, Queens, etc

Admin:
Player A in each group is asked to be the Group coordinator
Player A should set up a WhatsApp group for the Group, keep track of matches, and record scores for the group

A coordinator's Group on WhatsApp will post results, raise any issues, workarounds, etc.
Use the scorecard attached to collate, and submit scores at the end of the 6 weeks.
