Handball is a highly skilful, breath-takingly fast, international sport that serves up highly entertaining matches all over the world. Players develop exceptional speed, agility, endurance and coordination in each of the game’s codes. Even better…all you need is a ball and a wall!
The GAA is the governing association for handball in Ireland and is a member of the World Handball Council along with international associations in countries such USA, Canada, Mexico, Australia, Japan, Puerto Rico, Belgium and the Netherlands.
The International Codes of Handball played in Ireland are 4-Wall and 1-Wall (Wallball). Also played are the traditional Irish games of 60x30 in both Hardball and Softball. All codes can also be played in a 1v1 format (singles) or 2v2 (doubles) and is enjoyed from U6 right up to Masters level.
